Through the cooperation of the Borough of Avalon, Tim Kerr Charities, Inc. and the Avalon Lions Club,
this year's event promises to be one of the preeminent fund-raising events that will obtain significant
media exposure and attract a field of elite competitors from throughout the United States. Following the
7-Mile and 5K runs will be an Awards Ceremony for the overall and various age division winners.

Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund
The Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund is a non-profit, grassroots organization whose efforts are
directed toward providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalized assistance to families who
have a child with cancer.

remarkable institution has fostered medical discoveries, innovations, and breakthroughs which have
benefited children worldwide.

The Helen L. Diller Vacation Home For Blind Children
For the past 30 years, the Helen L. Diller Home has provided a vacation for any visually
impaired child without any exception or preferences. The Home affords the children a week-long
recreation retreat that will become a cherished memory to them for life.

Race day entry is Sunday September 2nd from 7:00 AM thru 8:20 AM at the Avalon Communty Center (30th
St. & Avalon Ave). The 7 Mile Island Run begins at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K Run and 5K Walk at 8:45
